“Women Pressing Towards the Mark”
Scripture: I press towards the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. Our Vision: Our purpose and goal this year is to allow God to move us, as women of God, pressing for the blessings the HE has planned out, and never looking back.
Mission: Our mission goal this year and moving forward is to plant ourselves into God’s words so that when we move and walk outside the church walls, others will grow for the example we lead.
The Women’s ministry meets every third Saturday of the month (unless event is scheduled as an away event). For more information please contact Ministry Director Theresa Hollowell at womensministry@lbcw.org.
Lighthouse Baptist Church serves as a source of support for this shelter, through our Women’s Ministry. Every fourth Monday of the month (January – October) we provide a hot cooked meal, as well as dessert, (birthday cake) to all of the women that are housed at an area shelter. We also support the shelter by providing school supplies to the children, toiletries, other items and sometimes monetarily throughout the year.
